OK so this thing tells me to write something telling about myself. So here goes.... I'm from Louisiana, originally from a small town near Lafayette but I'm currently living in the New Orleans area. I'm 26 and divorced. I do have a boyfriend though, unfortunately for us he lives in Austraila. He plans on making a trip here in July sometime, and just as soon as I can save enough money, I plan on moving there.

As for my path and how I got here.... when I was younger I always questioned what I heard in church and from adults - I didn't understand why there were so many different religions if they all believed in the same God. Then as I became a teenager, I kept meeting people who were pagan/wiccan/etc. By the time I was 16 or so, I decided there must be a reason these people keep popping up in my life, so I started reading up on everything. The first wiccan-type book I ever read was Bucklands Complete Guide to Witchcraft - I had borrowed it from a freind. I soon bought my own books (not that one though) and here I am, ten years later. If pressed, I'd say I lean more towards Celtic and Norse traditions but I take bits and pieces from all over. I'm into Tarot and Astrology, and dabble in gemology when I find an interesting stone.

For most of my pagan years, I've practiced solitary, but since moving to New Orleans I've met a wonderful group of people from the meetup.com site and through them came into contact with a well-established coven in the area. I plan on taking some of their classes and possilbly join. It's just one of those things that happened quickly and I immediatly got along with everyone so well, it's like someone is bopping me over the head to join. So we'll see how that goes.
